Crackle can be done on almost anything,
including walls. It consists of a base color and then a top color
that cracks to reveal the base color underneath. The cracks can be
done in vertical, horizontal, or even random directions depending on the
application. Large or tiny cracks can be achieved. A clear
top coat on a furniture piece can also be crackled and then glazed in
order to give it an aged feel.
